Fundraiser/Fair/Teacup Raffle

Hosted by St. Mark's Lutheran Church

Noon - 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 (rain or shine)

  • A Walk With Harold for Women's Health, in association with the Milford Hospital Foundation. We urge you to support Walk With Harold, a one-mile walk with your animal companion in historic Black Rock. Registration $20 including lunch on the fairground contributed by Ash Creek Saloon. The first 100 registrants get a free T-shirt. Register with the hospital or at Happy Tails at Ash Creek on Fairfield Avenue.
  • Blessing of the Animals, by Rev. Beth Anderson of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and by Rabbi Stein. All are invited to bring their pets
  • All proceeds from the fair go to pet rescue organizations and the St. Paul's/St. Luke's Pantry and Feeding Program.

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO PARTICIPATE?

  • Rent an exhibitor tent for $150. Fee includes white 9'x10' tent, 6' table, 2 chairs. Set up and takedown included. Or set up your own tent and equipment for a $75 fee.
  • Offer a gift or gift certificate for the teacup raffle (where folks buy a ticket and place it in a category or prizes they hope to win).
  • Make a donation.

Checks written to the order of: St. Mark's Lutheran Church and write "dog fair" in the memo. Contributions are tax deductible. Checks can be dropped off at Happy Tails at Ash Creek on Fairfield Avenue, Black Rock's very own natural/organic pet food and supply store which is expanding to include the basics for small animals, indoor birds, reptiles and fish. Finally, by September end, they will provide professional grooming and self serve dog wash. "Happy Tails is all about quality nutrition and education," says owner Gen Barthe. "We believe that healthy tails are indeed happy tails!"
